Glory Gospel Singers

Professional Musicians & Vocalists

The Glory Gospel Singers, a New York-based aggregation of professional vocalists and musicians, are currently touring with an extensive repertoire in the gospel, classical, and anime styles.

Under the direction of founder Phyliss McKoy Joubert, an award-winning Mezzo-Soprano, Arranger, and clinician, the festive group will reach a benchmark of 275 tours in many countries since its inception in 1995. The group shares a harmonic repertoire of gospel favorites with great energy, including Joubert's original arrangements.

Their spirit-filled voices have merited several prestigious awards and have been lauded by international critics for technical brilliance and expansive musicality. Most notably, their recording of "Stand on the Word" was bestowed a Jury Award at the Cannes Film Festival and is currently being utilized in the French Samsung Galaxy Phone commercial. They have also been Stellar Award nominees and finalists for the Nodojiman World Competition for Nippon Television (Tokyo).

Joubert's inspirational fusion of classical, gospel, and soulful music textures is highly sought after and noteworthy. She has arranged innovative music design for an enchanting Japanese Anime album "Tenshi Ni Anime Song Wo" (Anime Songs for the Angels); also featured in world-renowned Studio Ghibli films such as "Ponyo," "Castle in the Sky," and "Spirited Away".
